      The automatic packing machine is used to collect and stack steel pipes, then automatically bundle them. It features a stable operation with no need for manual labor, and eliminates noise and damages caused during transportation. This packaging line improves both pipe quality and production efficiency. It also reduces costs and eliminates potential safety hazards.

      Technical Procedures

        The pipes are transported to the packing area via the run-out table:

      • Pipe loading to packing machine:
        The pipes will be turned over to the chain transportation device via the pipe turning device, then moved to the pipe counting position.
      • Pipe counting and stacking:
        The system can be pre-set with the number of pipes that need to be in a bundle according to different sizes. The system will then send the order to the machine for pipe counting and accumulation layer by layer until the set amount is reached. The pipe collection devices will then lower and push the pipes into the collection device. There is also an end alignment device installed at one end.
      • Bundle transportation:
        The pipe bundle will be moved into the bundling position via a transporting car, then the collection device will return to the collection position to wait for a new bundle.
      • Automatic bundling device:
        The hanging automatic bundling device works step by step in a designed bundling position. The bundling machine will first move down to the bundling position and connect to the top layer of pipes. The belt guiding channel will then close, and the bundling head will send out the belt. The belt end connects, then is tightened, buckled, and cut. The belt guiding channel will then open, and the bundling head will return to the original position to prepare for the next bundle.
        The bundled pipes will then be transported to the storing position via a storing chain transporting device, then the car will return and wait for the next bundle.
      • Storing:
        The storage area will store three bundles, then will be moved to the finished pipes area via a crane.
        Cycling: the whole process is automatically controlled by the industrial PLC system, and also features both manual and automatic control to guarantee a continuous production and working durability.
